20 questions
01How do I get started?
Contact our team by phone or email. We’ll arrange a conversation to understand your goals, current supports and what you are looking for.
02How quickly can support begin?
Every situation is different, and start times depend on factors like your plan, the types of support you need and worker availability in your area. We’ll talk through timelines openly during your first conversation so you have a realistic picture from day one.
03What information do I need before my first conversation?
It helps to have your NDIS plan handy if you have one, but it’s not essential for the first chat. If you don’t have a plan yet, we’re still happy to talk through your options. Just bring your questions and what’s on your mind — we’ll take it from there.
04Can I choose which supports I receive?
Yes. Your supports should reflect your goals and your life. We’ll talk through what’s available and help you understand what each option looks like in practice, but the choice is always yours. You can change, pause or adjust supports as your needs evolve.
05What areas do you service?
We support participants across Melbourne and surrounding areas. If you’re unsure whether we cover your suburb, just reach out — we’ll let you know honestly and, where we can, point you toward help if we’re not the right fit.
06What types of support do you offer?
Our supports cover areas like daily living assistance, personal activities, life skills development, community participation and more. We focus on building your confidence and independence in the settings that matter to you — at home and in the community.
07Do you provide transport support?
Transport can be part of your support arrangements depending on your plan and goals. We’ll discuss what’s possible, how it works in practice and what you’d like to achieve — whether that’s getting to appointments, work, social activities or everyday errands.
08How do you match participants and support workers?
We take the time to understand your personality, interests, goals and preferences. Matching is about more than availability — it’s about finding someone you feel comfortable with. We’ll suggest a worker we think is a good fit and check in with you to make sure it feels right.
09What if I am unhappy with my support?
Please tell us — your feedback helps us make things right. You can raise concerns with your support worker, our office or through our formal feedback process. We’ll listen, take it seriously and work with you to find a better arrangement, whether that means a different worker, different supports or something else.
10Do you provide emergency or crisis support?
We are not an emergency or crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 000. For other urgent situations, we can talk through who to contact and how to access the right support — but we’re not a substitute for emergency services.
11Can my family or support coordinator be involved?
Absolutely. Many people like to have a family member, carer or support coordinator as part of the conversation. With your permission, we’re happy to include them in planning, check-ins and reviews — you’re always in control of who is involved and how much.
12How do you involve families in decisions?
Families and carers often know you best. With your consent, we welcome their input when shaping your supports. We’ll always check with you first about what you’re comfortable sharing and who you’d like in the room — your choices lead the way.
13Can I change my support schedule?
Yes. Life changes, and your schedule can change with it. Whether you need to adjust times, swap days or shift things around for a period, we’ll work with you to update your arrangements. Just let us know as early as you can so we can make it smooth.
14What happens if my support worker is unavailable?
If your regular worker is unavailable, we’ll do our best to arrange a suitable replacement so your routine isn’t disrupted. We’ll let you know in advance where possible and introduce you to the new worker so you feel comfortable before support begins.
15How do I contact your team?
You can reach us by phone, email or the contact form on our website. Whichever way suits you, a real person will be on the other end. We aim to respond promptly and to make every interaction feel straightforward and respectful.
16Who will I talk to when I first reach out?
Your first conversation will be with a friendly team member who understands our services and genuinely wants to hear your story. They’ll listen, answer your questions and help you figure out the next steps — no pressure, no jargon.
17Do I need an NDIS plan to access your services?
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you talk to us. If you have an NDIS plan, we can help you understand how your funding can be used. If you’re still working through the process, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.
18What does NDIS funding cover?
NDIS funding is designed to support things that relate to your disability and your goals. Exactly what’s covered depends on your plan’s budgets and categories. We’ll help you understand how your specific funding can be used for the supports you’re interested in.
19How will you keep in touch with me?
We’ll stay in regular contact in the way that works best for you — phone calls, messages, email or in-person check-ins. You’ll always know who your main contact is and how to reach them. Clear, honest communication is part of how we work.
20Can I provide feedback about my experience?
Yes, and we encourage it. Whether it’s a compliment, a suggestion or a concern, your feedback helps us improve. You can share it with your support worker, our office or through our formal feedback process — whatever feels most comfortable for you.
